Marissa and Brian got married in 2015 and I was the lucky photographer who shot their wedding. So, when they announced they were having a baby and wanted me to photograph her newborn session, I was so excited! One of my favorite parts of being a photographer is following families through their milestones: engagement, wedding, newborn, and family photos. And this newborn session wasn’t any different.
As I’m sure you can tell, Hailey is adorable and was a champ during our session. When we got there, she was wide awake and ready for her closeup. I love getting shots of newborns when their big eyes are staring right at the camera.
After she took a snack break, she fell asleep and we were able to pose her a little more, but she just wanted to see and interact with everything that was happening. It amazes me how every newborn has such a distinct personality, even so new to the world.
That last shot is Hailey lying on Marissa’s wedding dress, which is a pose a lot of parents choose to do. Such a cool way to bring everything full circle.
