HOW THEY MET
We met in 2009, our sophomore year at the College of New Jersey. We were both Psychology majors and one of the requirements was PSY299. We were assigned to do a group research project together with one other student. We bonded over the fact that we found the other member of our group difficult to deal with. He was often unable to help us with lab work so we spent a lot of time working on the project without him. We stayed friends after the class ended. Years later we saw each other while out with friends and reconnected. The rest is history!
THE PROPOSAL
It was 4th of July weekend and we decided to take a picnic to Old York Winery, which is about 20 minutes from our apartment. We packed a delicious and “healthy” picnic of fried chicken. Tom had just bought a Go-Pro camera and suggested we walk down into the vineyard to take a picture. He recorded the whole walk down into the vineyard. When we stopped to take a “picture” he proposed. We then bought two more bottles of wine and drove about 2 hours to see both of our parents to celebrate.
