How They Met
It was a typical Saturday afternoon in March in Morristown, NJ. Mike and his roommate were out at the Frog to watch some of the March Madness. Ryan walked in with a friend to catch the Devil’s game. Mike’s attention was taken away from the game as he was distracted by Ryan’s sparkly shirt. After debating back and forth, Mike sent a drink over to Ryan and her friend. Ryan asked the bartender if she knew the name of the cute guy in the “grey hoodie”. The bartender responded, “yeah, that one’s Brian and the grey hoodie is Michael.” Ryan stopped by to thank Mike for the drink and they hit it off right away. They talked all night long and neither one knows who won the respective games they went to watch. Ryan and Mike were meant for each other and have been together ever since.
The Proposal
Two and a half years later, on a weekend getaway to one of their favorite places to visit, Cape May, New Jersey, Mike had a perfect weekend planned. What he didn’t plan, was a hurricane named Joaquin and a nor’easter. All week leading up to the trip Mike was concerned he was going to have to call it off. In a last minute decision, they decided to head down. Mike and Ryan checked in to their hotel and grabbed a bite to eat. After returning to the room and cracking open a bottle of wine, they watched the 12 foot waves crash on the beach. It was there that Mike got on one knee and asked Ryan to marry him. Now they can’t wait to say “I do!”
